After a fairly long and somewhat frustrating job search, I finally found a job at a local bar – The Family’s Pub. It’s a bit of an international spot… being an Irish pub, with an English name, that serves mainly Belgian beers, to French clientele! Although it wasn’t the high technology international experience I was hoping for, I was excited at the opportunity to improve my french and meet new people in a social atmosphere. After only a week on the job it was the biggest day of the year for any Irish Pub – St Patrick’s Day! Although I was in a bit over my head, it was fun having Paul and our Grenoble friends there to enjoy the festivities and it turned out to be a fantastic night!
